Sue Gent
About Sue
Inspired by nature, history and mythology, Sue’s artwork combines traditional and digital techniques - hand drawing pieces with pencil, ink and brush, then adding color digitally. Her influences range from medieval woodcuts and illuminated manuscripts to 60s poster art, Indian matchbox designs, Art Nouveau and Japanese woodblocks.
She graduated from UWE Bristol, UK with a first-class honours degree in Art and Visual Culture and now lives in a village in Somerset, UK—where there’s a wealth of wild countryside, history and folklore to fire the imagination.
