Jeff Hinchee

About Jeff

Jeff has recently relocated from New York City to a small farmstead in Minneapolis just down the road from Prince's Paisley Park. Blending 2-D and 3-D, his illustrations are an assemblage of traditional drawing and painting, cut paper relief, scale models, and found object. He has over 20 years of experience as a set and costume designer for Broadway and television; and you can see how his illustrations are rooted in the theatrical practices of paper model studies, meticulous miniatures, and digital rendering. His illustrations are recognized by American Illustration, the Society of Illustrators, Creative Quarterly, Communication Arts, the World Illustration Awards, and he is one of Lurzer Magazines 200 Best Digital Artists. His work on design teams has earned Emmys and Tonys, among other awards for stage and screen.
