Daniel Bueno

About Daniel

Daniel Bueno is an illustrator and professor from São Paulo (Brazil), having published in more than 50 magazines in the country and illustrated more than 30 books. He has a degree in Architecture and Urbanism from the University of São Paulo (2001) and a master's degree (2007) from the same faculty with the dissertation "Saul Steinberg's Modern Design: work and context". Daniel received many awards in Brazil and abroad, such as the Jury Prize at Hiii Illustration 2022 (China), three Jabuti awards (Brazil), two Bronze awards from 3x3 (USA), first place at the International Press Drawing Salon (Porto Alegre, Brazil), first place at Ribeirão Preto National Humor and Comics Exhibition (Brazil), 4 HQ Mix awards (Brazil), Honorable Mention at the Prix Ars Electronica (Austria) and Honorable Mention at the International Children's Book Fair in Bologna (Italy, 2011). He already took part in the Society of Illustrators of New York Annual, Comic & Cartoon Art Annual, 3x3 Annual, 200 Best Illustrators Worldwide (2010/2011), AIAP - Latin American Illustración, AIAP - American Illustration/ The Archive, Creative Quarterly; and participated of the books “Illustration Now!”, "Portraits Now!" and "100 Illustrators" of Taschen. Founder of the collective Charivari (2005 -), launched 14 editions, promoted workshops and exhibitions. In 2020, his work was featured in the illustration magazine 3x3 (USA). He is currently a professor at École Intuit Lab and EBAC Online.
